Don for Model Number 10653582300 My freezer is not working and the fridge is not warm but not cold as it should be. I was thinking it may be this part and wanted to know if there is a way to test this part. Or if you think there may be another part which would be the problem. The compressor is a normal warm temp to touch.
Answer Don, The easiest way to diagnose a defrost issue, is to check the back wall of the freezer. If there is a heavy build up of frost or ice on the wall, you"ll need to circuit check the heater, thermosta and the defrost timer. Also check both the doors for a good and proper seal all the way around. If all's OK, check the evaporator fan , it may be stuck or running slow and not circulating the air properly.
