Hello Dean. The best way to test if you are having a defrost issue is to test the heater and the defrost thermostat and see if they are good. If so, replace the timer 4388932. You can test for power coming to the timer, but without a model number we cant check the wiring diagram for this. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
