Orman, To access the defrost timer, when you open the refrigerator door and look at the control panel, the cover on the control panel you will use a flat blade screw driver from the right hand side to start popping loose. Once it pops loose you will be able to remove the rest. Once off there are 2 screws behind the plate you just removed and two screws at the back of the control panel. This will allow control panel to drop down and there will be two screws on the bottom of the panel to release the timer.
