Jerry for Model Number MTB2156BEW The food in my freezer was thawing, it acted and sounded like the defrost mode was stuck on. Could the defrost timer cause this? I emptied the freezer out and put a thermometer in it and then turned it all of the way up; it cooled down to approx. 11 degrees. Now I don't hear the defrost mode being on.
Answer Hello Jerry, Yes this could be a defrost timer issue if the defrost timer is not coming out of the defrost. Also listen to make sure that the evaporator fan is operating.
