Steve for Model Number Crosley Heavy Duty 22 lb. Capacity Electric Dryer When I push the start button in and turn, it will not start the dryer. The timer still operates but the drum will not turn and no heat. Trying to decide if it is the timer-dryer or the thermal fuse. You show the exact timer-dryer that is installed in this Crosley in your picture. (whirlpool Ap4047639) The dryer was working fine and just stopped half way through the cycle. Any suggestions?
Answer Steve, Without a model number, that's going to be a little tough. But that particular manufacturer did not use thermal fuses in that type dryer at the time it was produced. You're going to want to check the door switch circuits and wiring. Then check the timer start switch for a momentary contact when the dial is pressed. Read More...
