Hello Michael, This could have been something in the pump that has since gone on out with the drain water or the timer can in fact cause the issue. This could also be caused by a spin bearing that is beginning to seize. This would only be the case if the load that came out wet was the second or third load and the spin bearing was already heated up from the previous loads. Since heat causes the metal parts to expand, this would not normally happen with the first load when the bearing is in the early stages of failure.
