Tom for Model Number Model # MDE4000AYW, Serial # 25639562WS Over the last year each of my cycles have one by one stopped heating. We'd use another then it would stop heating. The only cycle that heats now is the timed cycle and only if we have it set on 20 min or below. No other cycle heats, they run - but it only puts out cool air. I have been reading all the detailed reports on this machine but am getting confused at where to begin here. First I thought it was a fuse, something else, now I'm lost. I know it heats, in that 20 minute window we have been drying clothes for about a month. I'm leaning toward the timer, but I can hear the timer running on the other cycles so I'm not sure I want to spend $100 to replace a part I don't need. I will if I have to, is there some options I can check to narrow my selection. I'll die if I have to spend $250 to find a solution when I could have put that towards a new unit. Thanks for any help I can get!
Answer Hello Tom. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the timer WP33001730 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, October 17, 2011
