Robert for Model Number whirlpool model number LSQ9520LQ0 while running washer water level filled to correct level but agitation would not start then had a burning smell , could turn time past agitation and tub will spin out and rinse , is this the timer?
Answer Robert, You're on the right track, Yes based on your post the problem is most likely the timer, it would probably be a bad interior contact, not supplying all the voltage to the motor to start and turn the motor.
