Hello Christine, I would check the lid switch first. If it tests good, I would remove the drain pump from the motor without removing the water hoses from it and see if the motor spins. If it does and didn't with the pump on the motor, the issue is most likely debris in the pump. If the motor is running when it should drain, there's no need to check the lid switch. You need to go straight to the drain pump in this case. If the motor doesn't run, check with the pump off and if it still doesn't run, check for voltage at two terminals on the motor terminal with the motor electrical connector disconnected. One terminal should have voltage. If two have 120Vac on them, the timer will have welded contacts. The white wire with a black trace should be the only energized wire during the spin cycle. If there is voltage on another wire, it can be traced back to the problem component.
