Glenn for Model Number LSQ9500LQ0 My washer will fill water and stop to its proper level but will not turn to wash or agitate. While I'm waiting for it to turn, I can smell some burnt type of electrical. There are times after 4 or 5 minutes it will turn but you can here some cliking noise on the timer knob. Please let me know if I need to replace both, Lid Switch and the timer knob or what shall I do? About 7 months ago I had it check and the lid switch was replace but it work for that long and its happening again. Can the switch get bad that fast?
Answer Hello Glenn. You will need to test the lid switch 3949247V and see if it is bad. It should read closed with the lid closed and open with it open. If it is bad, it can prevent the machine from washing and spinning. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
