Justin for Model Number Whirlpool SM 8525147-A Washing machine stops just before drain and spin. Replaced the timer but this did not fix the problem. I hear a buzzing sound coming from the bottom of the washer. Could it be the pump? Prior to this, it filled and agitated with no issues.
Answer Hello Justin, This sounds like debris in the drain pump. You should remove the hoses to inspect it properly. There is no other way to see the pump impeller. I would normally provide a part number for the drain pump, but this isn't possible without a model number.
