Eyemno1 for Model Number WTW5300SQ0 I know there are some issues with my timer, but I'm concerned there are other problems as well. Basically, washer fills and nothing else. The push/pull knob when pushed in, will not turn the cycle selector (stripped or something). However, I can push and pull (start/stop mechanism), and manipulate timer control to make a noise, but it just stops after 10 to 20 seconds. I can manually turn it, but can't get anything to happen other than water filling. When I get the timer to make the noise as if it's running, when I open and close the lid, it will stop the timer noise which leads me to believe the lid switch is functioning. I'm perplexed. Help me, please.
Answer eyemno1, Based on the information provided, this issue sounds like it would be caused by a bad timer motor that is not allowing the gears to rotate and make contact. If the gears are stripped this would also be the issue. The timer part number is WP8546685. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 18, 2014
