Answer Hello Francis. Check and make sure the lid switch is good on the unit. If not, replace the lid switch assembly. If it is good, see if there is power going to the motor on the unit. If there is power going to the motor and the motor does not run, replace the motor. If there is no power to the motor, and the timer is humming, you will need to replace the timer WP8572976 in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
