Ty for Model Number 3979617 My timer stays in one position and will not count down. Also even though the dryer will run with the timer in the on position it does not heat up. Could the timer cause the dryer to not heat up or do I also have an element problem?
Answer Hi. The timer part # WP3979617 does provide the heater circuit with half of its voltage. If the timer does not advance it may not be sending the needed power to the timer.
