Christine H for Model Number WED5521SQ0 My dryer will not turn on at all in the cool down cycle. It will turn on but not stay on when in the timed cycle. If i hold the dial down, it will stay on in the timed cycle. Someone came over and said the timer needs to be replaced. Does this sound correct?
Answer Christine, The timer would not be the first palce to start. First, check and make sure the wires at the terminal block, on the back of the dryer are not loose(unplug the power cord first). Check the push to start switch and relay, and the wires at the switch. Then check the timer circuit T(tan) to W(white) for closed in any cycle, and the wires for loose or damage.
