Paul for Model Number SEDS800MQ0 I have the same problem as Curt, the timer does not move and the dryer can onle be stopped if the door is opened. Is this a common problem? I imagine the door switch takes more beating than the timer assembly. I'd love to only replace the door switch. Thanks much in advance for your time.
Answer Hello Paul. You will need to test for power to the timer motor wires. If there is power there, and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the timer WP3979618. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
