Eric for Model Number LSQ9659PW4 I replaced the timer on my whirlpool washer with part 3955765. Is there any way to tell where to set the control indicator and knob. I find nothing online for this procedure and my knob and indicator are way off. Please help.
Answer Eric, You have the correct timer installed in the washer. Recheck and make sure you didn't install the timer upside down. Then remove the timer knob and dial, slowly and carefully turn the timer shaft, until you hear a louder than usual "click"(this should be one of the "off" detents in the timer) install the timer dial so the pointer aligns to the off position on the panel and install and lock the timer knob in position.
