Gw for Model Number LSQ9659PW2 After power outage, my washer would not fill, although the agitate and spin cycles were fine. I replace the temp switch which was burned out. Now the water fills, and will only stop when tub is filled. On the spin cycle, the water turns back on after the water level falls (so the tub never drains). Also, when I push the tumer knob in, the water does not stop filling either. Any ideas?
Answer Hi GW. When the washer fills and stops, it is a defective lid switch that will not allow it to start. Lid switch part # WP8318084. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not any further in the standpipe more than 4-1/2 ". It may be that you are siphoning over and over. The unit was sent with the drain hose that you loop over and then install into the standpipe. The standpipe needs to be at least 36" high and no higher than 96". Thank You. Read More...
