Don, It could be a timer issue, but you should eliminate the other possibilities first. Will the washer work properly, when the dryer is not operating ? What is the amperage rating for the GFI receptacle? What other components or appliances are on the same GFI circuit ? It's more likely that there is enough draw on the power supply / circuit, to cause the GFI circuit to trip when the motor amperage increases when the motor starts. Thanks
