Gary Northington for Model Number LSQ9549LW1 Washing machine filled and ran fine in casual permanent press mode. However, machine stopped in mid cool down. Not responding on any settings. Power OK. Lid switch OK. Normally hear a tick, tick, tick from timer during cycle time changes. No sound. No motor hum. No response. Just dead silence. Any ideas? Thanks Gary
Answer Gary, try turning the timer to a spin cycle and see if it spins, if it does not spin, you may have a bad lid switch. If it does, make sure the water valves are good, if it is trying to fill with cold water during the rinse cycle and no water is going into the tub, you may have a bad inlet valve. Also, the timer could have a dead spot and is stopping at that position and would need to be replaced. Just some ideas to check before buying a timer WP8541270 Read More...
