Hello Willy, The lid switch WP8318084 has most likely failed. If it checks good electrically, this style has had some issues mechanically. If the plastic "loop" is broken, the switch won't "make" when the lid is down. Also, if the screws are loose in the hinges, it will adversely affect the strike. The timer will not be the issue since it would prevent the unit from filling with water. The only other component that would affect the units' running capability without stopping the water fill is the pressure switch WPW10231403.
