Doug for Model Number WTW5300SQ0 I ordered knob #8566022 to replace a broken knob. It snapped into place and was fine for a few months, but then the knob started falling out when I would turn the washer on. I ordered another knob, and this one started falling out after a couple of weeks. Does the knob just press in to the shaft? I read elsewhere that something should be done on the rear of the timer to release or attach the knob, but not sure if this is referring to my washer model. It seems that the knob is just pushed onto the shaft. Please advise. Thanks.
Answer Doug! You are absolutely correct, for this design of timer there is something on the rear that has to be held down or pulled. If you go to the timer part number WP8546685, we have a video that explains it in further detail. Thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, September 19, 2014
