Joe for Model Number Kenmore 110.26844694 Washer fills, agitates, rinses, and drains -- it does not spin. When it gets to the spin portion on the timer, the machine makes no sound other than the progression of the timer. If only 1 rinse is selected, the wash cycle ends; if 2nd rinse is selected, it will move on to the second rinse (fill and drain) but again will not spin. Lid switch seems to work correctly (checked continuity also timer will stop progressing if lid is opened during spin cycle). Is this a timer problem (my guess) or a clutch/transmission problem.
Answer Hello Joe. Test and see if the timer WP3951708 is sending power to the motor. If not, you will need to replace the timer. If there is power to the motor during spin, but it does not run, you will replace the motor assembly. The motor reverses directions during the spin cycle. Hope this helps. Read More...
