Georgianna for Model Number KAWS750GQ1 I have a Kitchenaid washer that I needed a new timer. Part number WP3952888. We have replaced it three times and the same result. It fills with water and at the same time goes to agitation. When the wash and rinse cycle get does, it automatically keeps going and does the second rinse. My repairman thinks that the part for this has been incorrectly assembled. Any suggestions. The washer is in good condition and I would like to continue to use it. We tried with three different timers and the same result.
Answer Georgianna, based on the information provided, it sounds like the pressure switch W10339326 has failed where it is allowing the purple wired terminal and the Tan wired terminal to have continuity. This can be verified by testing the terminals for continuity while the tub is empty. If they all have continuity, the switch has failed and would need to be replaced. Read More...
