David for Model Number RED4640YQ1 I have a dryer that will not start it was running then in mid cycle it stopped and has not started since. I have checked the thermal fuse and the thermostats. i have also checked the start switch and the door switch. what other issues could it be? what should i check on next to see if it is worth fixing or not
Answer Hello David. On this model you have a door switch, thermal fuse, timer, motor, or wiring issue that can prevent the dryer from running. Usually a mid-cycle stop is caused by the thermal fuse in most cases. Since you check it and the door switch, you will need to check wiring, voltage the unit, motor and timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
