Mary C. for Model Number Maytag Model A390 series 4 Heavy Duty Extra Capacity Yesterday, the wash, rinse, spin cycle would not stop, but would continuously start up again. I could hear a ticking noise after the last spin cycle (when the machine would normally stop) and then the water started pouring into the machine again and it would spin and stop and start up again. Would replacing the timer fix this problem? Is it a normal problem with such an old (but in very good condition) machine? Thank you for your suggestions as to what is wrong.
Answer Hello Mary. Based on the information you provided, it does sound like the timer WP206686 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 3, 2011
