Jo for Model Number pav2300aww Maytag washer continues to fill to overflowing. Does not proceed to agitate. To empty I must move the timer to spin. It does not drain water. It will spin the water out and when I lift the lid, it will stop, but I can hear the brake screech to a halt abrutly. Is this the timer or something else? Thank you
Answer Hello Jo. It sounds like the pressure switch may be bad on the machine. Remove the pressure hose and make sure it is not clogged. Also if you can stop the water coming in with the timer, then the problem is in the pressure switch.
