Jim J. for Model Number maytag washer mod#pav2300aww I can't get the knob off off the timer so I can get it off of the control panel. I talked to a person at a appliance parts store and he said that there was a release on the back of the timer to get the knob off of the shaft, but it doesn't want to release. Can you explain it to me?
