Frank L. for Model Number LAT8006AAE I just purchased a new Water Inlet Valve. Replaced it, but still no water. I am thinking now that it is the Timer. Could you advise me how to check out the Timer before I order one. Also, will I be able to return the recently pruchased Water Valve for credit? My order number is: 2438347...Thank You. F. L. White
Answer Hello Frank. If the unit is not filling with water, and the valve is new, then usually the pressure switch WP22001775 is the problem, and not the timer. See if the timer is sending power to the pressure switch. If there is power to the pressure switch, and the switch does not send power to the valve, you will need to replace the switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
