John Foy for Model Number Maytag Neptune WLG2000AWW Hello! I had an issue where the washer would not drain, so I checked the pump and all seemed good there. A repair guy came out and changed out the timer mechanism and that solved the drainage issue but created another issue: At first if you ran the regular cycle, it would not stop at the end of the cycle and continue on to the next cycle. Now however the cycle stops on the rise, and you have to set it to an new cycle (only perm press works) to finish the load. At the end, sometimes you need to unplug the unit for the On and Lock buttons to turn off. I'm wondering if the timer the repair guy replaced it with the wrong part (the old unit could be turned in both directions, this one only one) or if we have a controller board that needs replacing? I read about a wire from the controller to the timer as something to replace too? Thank you
Answer John, This issue would be with the timer either being the wrong one or a faulty timer. The part number for the timer should be WP22002452. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 30, 2023
