Paul for Model Number MAV6250AWW, Atlantis I am having problems with my washer. It would fill, agitate clear thru all the cycles, leaving a tub full of water. If I turned the knob to rinse or spin, I could drain and spin out the water. I replaced the lid switch and adjusted it according to the instructions included so no problems there. On colors setting the washer worked great up until final rinse where the tub filled and and did not drain or spin out. The dial went to off. Now if I lift the lid at the end or push the button in and pull it out, I would have triggered the final drain and spin. White mode was a mess. Think it agitated celar to off and left a tub full of sudsy water. Delicates mode worked, surprise, great! No problems. Hit all the cycle, soaks, and drain points spot on. The timer, I suspect is faulty, maybe a short somewhere that is thowing it off on some cycles. This washer is 12 years old and not wanting to throw too much money into it so is this problem the timer? I would like to fix this myself, since it is relatively easy to do myself but will not hesitate buying a new washer tomorrow if this is not the solution. Thanks in advance!
Answer Hello Paul. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the timer WP22003393 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 10, 2012
