Steve for Model Number MAV6300AWW My wife's Maytag Atlantis washer, model:MAV6300AWW, leaves a tub full of soapy water, and fails to drain water and go to rinse cycle. She said washer stopped and timer buzzed and vibrated, with timer pointer at rinse cycle. Does this sound like timer problem? In addition, how old is this machine? She purchased a condo and the washer came with it. I feel it is probably worth it to replace timer. Do you agree? Thanks!
Answer Hello Steve. You need to turn all the pulleys under the washer and make sure the pump pulley turns freely and the thrust bearing is releasing the brake to spin the unit. If not, you will need to replace the part that is bad. If all the pulleys are good, you may have a timer issue with the unit. It should be worth repair if the unit is in good shape. Read More...
