Bruce for Model Number DE312 Yes, along with the other items I have checked, one of the first things I did was make sure the vent was cleaned from the lint trap all the way to the outside window where it exits the house. Just to be sure, I disconnected the vent tube at the bottom of the back of the dryer and ran it for an hour on auto setting and the dial did not move at all. Anything else I can check?
Answer Hello Bruce. Test and see if there is 120 volts coming to the timer motor, when the heater cycles off. If not, the cycling thermostat is not working properly. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
