Bruce for Model Number DE312 I have replaced the broken heater element in my DE312 Maytag dryer, cleaned all the vents, checked the cycling thermostat and hi limit thermostat and they show "closed", do not see any moisture sensor in the drum, tried a new timer, and I have even flipped the dryer breaker off and back on at the circuit breaker box and I still have no heat in the dryer. All wire connections look good. I also still think the dryer timer does not advance on the "Auto" settings. Are there any other sensors, breakers, fuses that I may be missing?
Answer Hello Bruce. Test and make sure there are 240 volts coming to the dryer. If so, test and see if there is 240 volts coming to the heater. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
