Christy S for Model Number MDE6400AYW I have the maytag MDE6400AYW dryer serial no 17515558ce. The dryer turns on fine but will not turn off unless you open the door. I have tried it on all the settings and still will not turn off. We ordered a new timer part no. 33002803 and installed it but then would not even turn on, on any setting. Do we have the wrong timer? Could it be another part and not just the timer?
Answer Hello Christy. Based on the model and serial number you provided, WP33002803 is the correct timer. You will need to check and make sure all connections are good and tight on the unit. If it still does not work, look and see if you can locate a part number on the old timer.
