Michael for Model Number MDE7400AYW I had bought a new timer for my dryer and the timer # is 33002803. After installing the timer I dried a load of clothes and found out that the timer does not advanced on 2 of the three dry positions it only advances in the timed dry mood. But in that mood the wet, damp, dry light does not work. Is the problem in the timer or something else. The model # is MDE7400AYW and the serial # is 19728810CJ.
Answer Michael, You have the correct timer installed WP33002803 based on the serial number. now you'll need to check and clean the sensor bar 33001809 inside the drum with alcohol or contact cleaner. Then closely check the wiring between the timer and the WP33002734 dryness display board. and check the board for possible burn marks or damage, replace the board if all checks are OK. Read More...
