Mike H. for Model Number Maytag MDE 6400 AYW I just replaced the timer on my Maytag MDE6400AYW SN 24904225EE and the timed and sensing drying does not work. The original problem was the drier was hard to turn on. After replacement the dryer comes on heats, but the cycles do not work. The dryer also does not shut off when you open the door now. The timer that I used was a AP4043083. All features worked before, just hard too start. Now starts but features don't work.
Answer Hi Mike. There is a jumper harness that you need to have along with the timer you got. We apologise, but it is a recent update from the manufacture on your model and serial # starting with 24...... It is part # 33002805. please call our customer service dept. # @ 1-877-477-7278.
