Lynn D. for Model Number MDG7400AWW The sensor part of the dryer stopped working, however, the timed dry continued to work for about a month after that and now nothing works. What part/parts do I need?
Answer Hello Lynn. Test the thermal fuse WP33001762 and see if it is bad. It should read closed for continuity. If open, you will need to replace the fuse, and clean the vent and check for kinks in the vent. If the vent is bad, the auto dry will not work properly. The vent can blow the fuse on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
