Erin for Model Number MDE7400AYW We have been having trouble getting our dryer to start without pushing the dial in and out a few times, even still sometimes it will just turn off after only a few min. From what I've read it sounds like we need a new timer. Can you advise on what timer I need for this model and also explain how I remove the dial, I've tried pulling it off and it doesn't seem to be the right method. Thank you.
Answer Hello Erin. We will need your serial number to determine which timer you will need. You will need to remove the center of the timer knob to remove the knob and skirt from the unit. Then you will access the back of the control panel and remove to access the timer. Once removed, you will unplug the wires and remove the old timer. Install new timer in reverse order.
