John for Model Number MDG6400AWW Serial # 19657989CT My dryer is heating intermittently. At first I thought it might be the gas valve solenoids but noticed the knob is not moving during the drying cycles. Also I have checked all fuses (all good. What part/parts do you recomend next one I thought was AP4043083
Answer John, Before you replace the timer, try this : Put the timer dial in the timed dry setting on the control panel, and start the dryer, let it run 10 to 15 minutes, if the timer dial / skirt advances or moves, then you can be 99% sure the issue is not the timer, and based on your post information, then you'll need to check the gas valve coils resistance and operation. If the dryer does not heat properly in a "auto dry" setting, the timer will not advance. Thanks and Good Luck Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, April 2, 2012
