Jenny for Model Number MDE6400AYW The knob on the dryer will only turn on the dryer randomly. We have to push in and pull out the knob repeatedly until it finally catches. The knob itself appears to be fine. The dryer works fine once it finally comes on. Does this sound like a timer problem or some other part? I want to make sure that I buy the right part.
Answer Hello Jenny. Yes it does sound like you have a bad timer. Looking at the parts list, it looks like they used a couple of different timers on that model.
