Ridgeline for Model Number MDE7400AYW I have replaced the timer twice on my Maytag IntelliDry dryer and am still having timer issues. Regardless of the intellidry or timed cycle, the timer will often stop turning or turn inaccurately extending the dry time. I have replaced the following parts:1. Dryness Display Asse (AP4043070) 2. Sensor Asse + chime (AP4044037) 3. Sensor Bar Asse (AP4043270) What else could be causing this issue?
Answer Ridgeline, A couple of things to check first, Make sure you are orderring the correct part number(s) based on the series number. ( first two numbers in the serial number) or cross reference the part numbers of the original part(s). Make sure there is a "neutral" circuit at the terminal block and the white wire on the dryness control board. The dryness control, switches the neutral circuit to the timer motor, if there is an issue in the wiring, or you have the incorrect parts installed, you'll have irratic operation of the timer.
