Dan for Model Number Maytag MDE7400AYW My dryer won't come on in the normal or more dry setting but will work in the less dry or timer settings.Also the Dryness Indicator only shows damp.Is the timer the problem ?
Answer Dan, Your post description indicates two probable issues, First check and make sure the dryness sensor bar(inside the drum) 33001809 is clean and in tact. Then check or replace the dryness control board display assembly WP33002734(example only, the proper part number needs to be orderred based on series/serial number) The display board supplies power to the timer and advances the dial.
