Todd I have a Maytag Centennial dryer and it is not heating. It runs fine, it just never heats up. Also, the selector switch never moves. It would run forever if you do not turn it off manually. Do I need to change this switch to fix my problem?
Answer Hello Todd, Here is a service manual covering both gas and electric models. As you know, every model number has its' own wiring configuration and diagram. This makes it impossible to go any further that checking the breaker by flipping it off then back on and checking the receptacle and power supply cord. If the service manual in the attachment doesn't help, go to section 6 and use the units' diagnostic mode. This, along with the tech sheet from the unit itself, should help you pinpoint the issue.
