Michael M for Model Number mdg6460aww The dryer turns on with timer switch, but does not advance and will run forever...also simultaneously the dryer does not heat up. Can it all be the fault of the timer, or has some other part failed as well?
Answer Hello Michael. It can be the timer. You will need to test for power to the timer motor while the dryer is in the timed dry cycle. If there is power there and the timer does not advance, replace the timer. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
