Jamiem for Model Number cde6000w Ok dryer got to hot and blew fuse, so I took it all apart cleaned it very well replace all the thermostats and new belt new felt and new guides. I turned it on and worked great for about and hour turned it on again and it blew again. There was no lint at all in it checked the heat element and it looked good i was told that if the timer was bad it could cause it to keep heating the element too much. I'm stuck I already put 80 into it it is about 10 yrs old.
Answer Hi Jamiem. Check for a shorted heating element LA-1044, make sure the wiring on the element is not snapped. Also you might want to install this kit LA-1053. The timer only tells the unit when to come on and off. Thanks! Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 13, 2011
