Frank for Model Number WTW57ESVW1 The timer control knob on our top load Whirlpool Washer pulled out farther than normal when I turned it on. The washer filled up normally and washed, but when it got to the rinse cycle the water did not shut off. It filled it to almost full when I turned it off and then turned it on again. It rinsed and spinned but the spin cycle did not shut off and it kept spinning. I started to smell smoke and quick turned it off and unplugged it. The washer is only 5 years old. It may need a new timer control but what other damage could it have done since it was smoking?
Answer Frank, This issue will most likely be only a timer issue. If the contacts in the timer are sticking then it could create a smoking issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, November 10, 2015
