Answer Rich, A couple of things you need to check. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a 120 VAC polarized and grounded outlet. Make sure all the burner bases, igniters and caps are clean and free of debris or corrossion, as well as the cooktop area around the burner. Any of these issues could cause the igniter to intermittently "spark/click" in the off position. If all's OK, it could be an issue in the spark module or possibly an igniter switch failure. If you have a rapid "spark/click", then it's usually a bad igniter switch WPW10361492 Thanks and Good Luck Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, November 2, 2011
