Sue the most likely cause for the unit not sparking would be caused by faulty ignition switches on the burner valves.

Aaron for Model Number Whirlpool Super Capacity 465

I have an igniter problem with my gas stove. Only the right rear igniter works. For the other three it looks like the ceramic around the igniter is broken. I bought four new igniters from your site but could not get the stove top open as the screws on the burners are rusted shut. I tried to wire one of the new ceramic igniters at the base of the ceramic unit, but that did not work. Strangely the right rear igniter fires when ANY of the stove knobs are turned to light. So if we turn on the left front knob to light, the right rear igniter fires (you can hear the click and see the sparks). However, the gas flows to the correct burner only. None of the other igniters, including the new ceramic one, click or spark. Any thoughts on why this happens and how to get the others working. Thanks

Rich, A couple of things you need to check. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a 120 VAC polarized and grounded outlet. Make sure all the burner bases, igniters and caps are clean and free of debris or corrossion, as well as the cooktop area around the burner. Any of these issues could cause the igniter to intermittently "spark/click" in the off position. If all's OK, it could be an issue in the spark module or possibly an igniter switch failure. If you have a rapid "spark/click", then it's usually a bad igniter switch WPW10361492 Thanks and Good Luck
