Dave September 02, 2015 for Model Number WFG114SVQ0 Which of the two surface burner ignitors listed #36, is the longer of the two listed? AP4359006 appears to be longer in the picture but AP4364402 is a little bit more money. (less than a dollar) Logic tells me that the one with the higher price is the longer one but the picture contradicts that. Thanks
Sue October 01, 2014 for Model Number WFG231LVB1 My top burners wont light without using a lighter. There is No ticking noise but gas comes through. What could possibly be wrong? Please help. I tried a new spark module and just got the same result. I'm at a loss!
1 Answer Sue the most likely cause for the unit not sparking would be caused by faulty ignition switches on the burner valves. Read More...
Aaron January 26, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool Super Capacity 465 I have an igniter problem with my gas stove. Only the right rear igniter works. For the other three it looks like the ceramic around the igniter is broken. I bought four new igniters from your site but could not get the stove top open as the screws on the burners are rusted shut. I tried to wire one of the new ceramic igniters at the base of the ceramic unit, but that did not work. Strangely the right rear igniter fires when ANY of the stove knobs are turned to light. So if we turn on the left front knob to light, the right rear igniter fires (you can hear the click and see the sparks). However, the gas flows to the correct burner only. None of the other igniters, including the new ceramic one, click or spark. Any thoughts on why this happens and how to get the others working. Thanks

Heberto F. December 15, 2013 for Model Number SF315PEPQ2 The ignitor for this stove is indicated in the diagram as number 36. It turns out that #36 has two possible P/Ns: AP4359006 and AP4364402. How do I know which one I need to order? Regards, Heberto
1 Answer Hello Heberto, The differences are the wire length. For the front right and right rear, WPW10209656. For the left front and left rear WPW10209657. Read More...
Gloria P November 05, 2013 for Model Number W10109656 I just bought the surface ignitor for one of the burners, but noticed the black clip is damaged. I would like to know the part number for this clip that holds the ignitor in place.
1 Answer Rich, A couple of things you need to check. Make sure the power cord is plugged into a 120 VAC polarized and grounded outlet. Make sure all the burner bases, igniters and caps are clean and free of debris or corrossion, as well as the cooktop area around the burner. Any of these issues could cause the igniter to intermittently "spark/click" in the off position. If all's OK, it could be an issue in the spark module or possibly an igniter switch failure. If you have a rapid "spark/click", then it's usually a bad igniter switch WPW10361492 Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Barry B. October 04, 2011 for Model Number FGP305KW5 Roper My right front and rear burners tick and produce small sparks but do not always ignight. They are clean and could be match lite. Thae left two burners ignight immediately. Do I just replace the Igntr surfs or does the Module need replacement?
1 Answer Hello Barry. Test the igniters. They should read closed for continuity. If they are good and there are no cracks in them, then it sounds like the spark module W11590249 is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Carol J. July 27, 2011 for Model Number SF315PEPW1 I need to buy the igniter-surf for my stove. What else would I have to purchase with it? Also, its for the right front. Your site does not specify which one this is.
1 Answer Hello Carol! The right front surface ignitor is part number WPW10209656. You should only need to purchase this item if this part only is defective on your appliance. Thanks! Read More...
