Eki for Model Number W10749399A I hear a clicking sound at the back of my Whirlpool W10749399A 26 cu ft French door refrigerator freezer and the lights are not on and the refrigerator freezer is not running/cooling (no compressor sounds). This sometimes happens after a power failure on restart - other times it is very intermittent - ie. once a month maybe. I can unplug the unit for a few minutes and get the clicking to stop and the refrigerator to start working. Does this sound like the starter or capacitor or maybe both? I hate to parts swap at ~ $50+ each part. How can I differentiate the switch vs. capacitor being the issue that is causing the clicking and non-running issue? I am ready to purchase parts from you but want to get the correct part(s).
Answer Eki, The start devvice is the likely choice as the capacitor would not stop t6he compressor from runnimng . Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, January 17, 2024
